Choosing Love: The Greatest Commandment
John 13:34-35 (NIV)
In John 13:34-35, Jesus commands us to love one another just as He has loved us. This kind of love is sacrificial, unconditional, and transformative. When we choose to love others in this way, we reflect the love of Christ to the world around us. Love is not just a feeling, but a decision we make daily. It requires us to put others before ourselves, to forgive when it's hard, and to show kindness even when it's not reciprocated. True love is a powerful force that can break down barriers, heal wounds, and bring hope to the brokenhearted.
Reflection
As we meditate on Christ's command to love one another, let us examine our hearts and actions. Are we truly loving others as He has loved us? Are there areas in our lives where we need to extend grace and forgiveness? Let us pray for God's help to love with His love.
