Forgive as the Lord Forgave You

May 14, 2026 By ChurchFlow Team

Colossians 3:13 (NIV)

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Reflection

Forgiveness is at the core of the Christian faith. In our daily lives, we encounter situations where we are hurt or wronged by others. It can be challenging to forgive, especially when the pain runs deep. However, just as God has forgiven us of our sins through Jesus Christ, we are called to extend that same forgiveness to those who have wronged us. When we forgive, we release the burden of bitterness and resentment, allowing God's grace to work in our hearts and relationships. Forgiveness brings healing and restores peace. Let us remember that forgiving others is not always easy, but it is necessary to experience the fullness of God's love and to live in unity with one another.
