Choose Forgiveness Daily
Matthew 6:14-15 (NIV)
Forgiveness is at the core of the Christian faith. Just as we receive forgiveness from God, we are called to extend forgiveness to others. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus says, 'For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.' Forgiveness is not always easy, but it is necessary for our spiritual well-being. When we hold on to unforgiveness, it weighs us down and hinders our relationship with God. Each day, we have the choice to forgive others just as God forgives us. It's a daily decision to release the hurt and choose love instead. By choosing forgiveness, we experience freedom, peace, and healing. Let us not forget the great forgiveness we have received from God and extend that same grace to those around us.
