Forgiveness: A Path to Healing
Matthew 6:14-15 (NIV)
Forgiveness is a powerful act that sets us free from bitterness and resentment. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus teaches us that if we forgive others, our Heavenly Father will forgive us. When we hold onto grudges, we carry a heavy burden that weighs us down and hinders our relationship with God. But when we choose to forgive, we release ourselves from bondage and experience the freedom that comes from God's grace and mercy. Forgiveness is not always easy, but it is necessary for our spiritual well-being. Just as we have received forgiveness from God, we are called to extend that same forgiveness to others. By choosing to forgive, we reflect the love and forgiveness of Christ to those around us. Let us not withhold forgiveness, but instead, let us choose to forgive as we have been forgiven.
