Forgiveness is a powerful act of love that sets us free from bitterness and resentment. Just as God forgives us, we are called to forgive others. Holding onto grudges only weighs us down and hinders our relationship with God. When we choose to forgive, we release the burden and experience the peace and freedom that come from extending grace. Forgiveness doesn't always mean forgetting the hurt, but it does mean choosing to let go of the desire for revenge or justice. As we forgive, we imitate Christ's sacrificial love and display His grace to others. Let us embrace forgiveness as a way to love others as Christ loves us.
