Walking in Service Today
Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV)
As we begin this day, let us remember that God's mercies are new every morning. His faithfulness is great, and His love for us never fails. In a world that often feels chaotic and uncertain, we can find peace in knowing that God is with us every step of the way. Today, choose to walk in faith, trusting that God will guide your path. When challenges arise, remember that you are not alone. God has promised to never leave you nor forsake you. His strength is made perfect in our weakness, and His grace is sufficient for all our needs. Take a moment to reflect on God's goodness in your life. Count your blessings, both big and small. As you go through your day, look for opportunities to share God's love with others. Your words and actions can be a light in someone's darkness.
Reflection
"Walking in Service Today" is a short reflection to carry into your day. It speaks directly to the theme of service, and to the ordinary faith we live out day by day. In the kingdom of God, greatness is measured downward. The leader kneels; the first becomes last; the one who would be great becomes the servant of all. Service is not a lower calling we outgrow but the very shape of a life that follows Jesus. Look for one small, hidden act of service today — something with no audience and no reward. Serving in secret keeps the heart humble and tender. Who can you quietly help this week? Read Lamentations 3:22-23 again slowly, and let it shape how you live today — in your family, your work, and your church community. A prayer: Lord, you came not to be served but to serve. Free me from the need to be noticed, and give me joy in laying down my life in small, unseen ways. Amen.
