Trust the Guide Within
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
In Proverbs 3:5-6, we are reminded to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. God promises to direct our paths when we acknowledge Him in all our ways. When faced with decisions, seek His guidance through prayer and the scriptures. The Holy Spirit dwells within us to lead and guide us in all truth. Remember, God's plans are higher than our own, and His ways are perfect. Trust in His wisdom and guidance.
Reflection
"Trust the Guide Within" is a short reflection to carry into your day. It speaks directly to the theme of guidance, and to the ordinary faith we live out day by day. God's guidance rarely arrives as a floodlight on the whole road; more often it is a lamp for the next step. He gives enough light to move forward in trust, not enough to remove the need for it. Guidance is a relationship, not a map handed over at the start. Where are you waiting for the whole plan before you will take any step? Ask God for the next step only, and take it. Direction becomes clearer in motion, as we walk close to the One who leads. Read Proverbs 3:5-6 again slowly, and let it shape how you live today — in your family, your work, and your church community. A prayer: Lord, I want to see the whole way, but you ask me to trust you for the next step. Guide me today, and give me the faith to follow even when I cannot yet see where it leads. Amen.
