A Prayer for Faith
Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with grateful hearts, seeking Your presence and guidance. We acknowledge that You are the source of all Faith, and we need Your help to walk in Your ways. Lord, we pray for strength to face the challenges of this day. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit and grant us wisdom to make decisions that honor You. Help us to be patient, kind, and loving in all our interactions. We lift up those who are struggling, those who are hurting, and those who feel alone. May they experience Your comfort and peace. Use us as instruments of Your love to encourage and support others. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your provision, and Your unfailing love. We trust in Your promises and rest in Your care. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Reflection
"A Prayer for Faith" is a short reflection to carry into your day. It speaks directly to the theme of faith, and to the ordinary faith we live out day by day. Faith often means obeying before we understand. Long before a single drop of rain fell, obedience looked foolish to everyone watching. True faith acts on what God has said, not on what the crowd approves, and it holds steady when the evidence has not yet arrived. Is there something God has already made clear to you that you have been slow to act on? Faith grows not by waiting for certainty but by taking the next obedient step. Do the small, faithful thing today, even if no one else understands it. Read Philippians 4:6-7 again slowly, and let it shape how you live today — in your family, your work, and your church community. A prayer: God, grow my faith beyond what I can see. Give me courage to obey you before I understand, and to keep trusting when the world calls it foolishness. Amen.
