Overflowing Grace: A Gift from God

Grace is the unmerited favor of God, freely given to us despite our unworthiness. It is through grace that we are saved, not by our own efforts but by the loving sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. God's grace is a transformational force that brings healing, restoration, and redemption to our lives. When we accept God's grace, we are set free from the bondage of sin and welcomed into a new life filled with hope and purpose. Let us be grateful for the gift of grace and extend that same grace to others. Let us strive to live out our faith with humility, gratitude, and love, knowing that we are saved by grace alone.

"Overflowing Grace: A Gift from God" is a short reflection to carry into your day. It speaks directly to the theme of grace, and to the ordinary faith we live out day by day. Grace is the father running. In the culture of the story, a grown man did not run — yet this father lifts his robes and sprints toward a son who wasted everything. That is the heart of God toward every person who turns home: no lecture, no probation, only welcome. Have you been keeping your distance from God, assuming you must clean yourself up first? Come as you are. And if someone has wronged you, consider whether grace — undeserved welcome — might be the braver, more Christlike response than keeping score. Read Ephesians 2:8-9 again slowly, and let it shape how you live today — in your family, your work, and your church community. A prayer: Father, thank you that you run to meet me.
