Guidance in Your Will: A Prayer Guide
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You seeking guidance and direction in my life. Your Word says in Proverbs 3:5-6, 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.' Lord, help me to trust in Your wisdom and to surrender my plans to You. Guide me in making decisions that align with Your will and purpose for my life. Show me the way to go, and give me the courage to walk in it.

"Guidance in Your Will: A Prayer Guide" is a short reflection to carry into your day. It speaks directly to the theme of guidance, and to the ordinary faith we live out day by day. God's guidance rarely arrives as a floodlight on the whole road; more often it is a lamp for the next step. He gives enough light to move forward in trust, not enough to remove the need for it. Guidance is a relationship, not a map handed over at the start. Where are you waiting for the whole plan before you will take any step? Ask God for the next step only, and take it. Direction becomes clearer in motion, as we walk close to the One who leads. Read Proverbs 3:5-6 again slowly, and let it shape how you live today — in your family, your work, and your church community. A prayer: Lord, I want to see the whole way, but you ask me to trust you for the next step. Guide me today, and give me the faith to follow even when I cannot yet see where it leads. Amen.
