Strength in Weakness
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIV)
In 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, Paul reminds us that God's power is made perfect in our weakness. When we feel weak, it is an opportunity for God to display His strength through us. Our strength comes from relying on Him, not on our own abilities or circumstances. When we surrender to God and trust in His strength, we can overcome any obstacle that comes our way. So, let us boast in our weaknesses, knowing that in them, God's power is at work.
Reflection
"Strength in Weakness" is a short reflection to carry into your day. It speaks directly to the theme of strength, and to the ordinary faith we live out day by day. The strength Scripture promises is often made perfect in weakness. It is not the removal of our limits but God's power meeting us inside them. Those who wait on the Lord find a strength that is renewed, not merely summoned from within. Where are you running on empty, trying to be strong on your own? Admitting weakness is the doorway to receiving his strength. Bring your tiredness to God today rather than pushing through it alone. Read 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 again slowly, and let it shape how you live today — in your family, your work, and your church community. A prayer: Lord, I am weaker than I like to admit. Be my strength where I have none left, and teach me to lean on you rather than on sheer willpower. Amen.
