Strength in the Lord
Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
Scripture tells us that the Lord is our strength and refuge in times of trouble. When we feel weak or overwhelmed, we can turn to Him for renewed strength and courage. Just as an eagle renews its strength in flight, we can soar on the wings of His promises. When we rely on the Lord, we tap into a source of limitless strength that empowers us to face any challenge with confidence.
Reflection
"Strength in the Lord" is a short reflection to carry into your day. It speaks directly to the theme of strength, and to the ordinary faith we live out day by day. The strength Scripture promises is often made perfect in weakness. It is not the removal of our limits but God's power meeting us inside them. Those who wait on the Lord find a strength that is renewed, not merely summoned from within. Where are you running on empty, trying to be strong on your own? Admitting weakness is the doorway to receiving his strength. Bring your tiredness to God today rather than pushing through it alone. Read Isaiah 40:31 again slowly, and let it shape how you live today — in your family, your work, and your church community. A prayer: Lord, I am weaker than I like to admit. Be my strength where I have none left, and teach me to lean on you rather than on sheer willpower. Amen.
