A Prayer for Service

June 22, 2026 • By ChurchFlow Team

Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with grateful hearts, seeking Your presence and guidance. We acknowledge that You are the source of all Service, and we need Your help to walk in Your ways. Lord, we pray for strength to face the challenges of this day. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit and grant us wisdom to make decisions that honor You. Help us to be patient, kind, and loving in all our interactions. We lift up those who are struggling, those who are hurting, and those who feel alone. May they experience Your comfort and peace. Use us as instruments of Your love to encourage and support others. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your provision, and Your unfailing love. We trust in Your promises and rest in Your care. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Reflection

"A Prayer for Service" is a short reflection to carry into your day. It speaks directly to the theme of service, and to the ordinary faith we live out day by day. In the kingdom of God, greatness is measured downward. The leader kneels; the first becomes last; the one who would be great becomes the servant of all. Service is not a lower calling we outgrow but the very shape of a life that follows Jesus. Look for one small, hidden act of service today — something with no audience and no reward. Serving in secret keeps the heart humble and tender. Who can you quietly help this week? Read Philippians 4:6-7 again slowly, and let it shape how you live today — in your family, your work, and your church community. A prayer: Lord, you came not to be served but to serve. Free me from the need to be noticed, and give me joy in laying down my life in small, unseen ways. Amen.
