Joy in Serving Others
Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV)
Scripture Reference: Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV) - 'Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.' As followers of Christ, we are called to serve others with humility and love. Jesus set the ultimate example of service by washing His disciples' feet, demonstrating that true leadership is found in serving. When we serve others selflessly, we reflect the heart of God and share His love with those around us. Service is not just a duty; it is a privilege and an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a broken world. Whether it's volunteering at a local shelter, helping a neighbor in need, or simply offering a listening ear, every act of service, no matter how small, can make a significant impact. Let us approach each day with a servant's heart, looking for ways to uplift and encourage those around us. In doing so, we experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from serving others.
Reflection
Prayer: Lord, help us to serve others with humility and love, just as Jesus did. May our actions reflect Your selfless and sacrificial love for us. Show us opportunities to serve and bless others today. Amen.
