Seeking God's Wisdom Prayer Guide
James 1:5-6 (NIV)
Heavenly Father, we humbly come before You seeking Your divine wisdom in all areas of our lives. Help us to listen to Your voice and follow Your guidance. May Your wisdom fill our hearts and minds, leading us on the path of righteousness and understanding.
Reflection
"Seeking God's Wisdom Prayer Guide" is a short reflection to carry into your day. It speaks directly to the theme of wisdom, and to the ordinary faith we live out day by day. Wisdom in Scripture begins with the fear of the Lord — a reverence that puts God at the centre of how we see everything. It is not merely knowing more facts but knowing how to live well, and it is promised generously to anyone who asks. Is there a decision in front of you where you have gathered information but not yet asked God for wisdom? Pause and ask. Wisdom often comes as a settled clarity, a quiet sense of the right path, once we stop striving and start listening. Read James 1:5-6 again slowly, and let it shape how you live today — in your family, your work, and your church community. A prayer: Lord, you give wisdom freely to those who ask. Grant me discernment for the decisions ahead, and help me live not just cleverly but wisely, with you at the centre. Amen.
