A Prayer for Wisdom
Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with grateful hearts, seeking Your presence and guidance. We acknowledge that You are the source of all Wisdom, and we need Your help to walk in Your ways. Lord, we pray for strength to face the challenges of this day. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit and grant us wisdom to make decisions that honor You. Help us to be patient, kind, and loving in all our interactions. We lift up those who are struggling, those who are hurting, and those who feel alone. May they experience Your comfort and peace. Use us as instruments of Your love to encourage and support others. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your provision, and Your unfailing love. We trust in Your promises and rest in Your care. In Jesus' name, Amen.

"A Prayer for Wisdom" is a short reflection to carry into your day. It speaks directly to the theme of wisdom, and to the ordinary faith we live out day by day. Wisdom in Scripture begins with the fear of the Lord — a reverence that puts God at the centre of how we see everything. It is not merely knowing more facts but knowing how to live well, and it is promised generously to anyone who asks. Is there a decision in front of you where you have gathered information but not yet asked God for wisdom? Pause and ask. Wisdom often comes as a settled clarity, a quiet sense of the right path, once we stop striving and start listening. Read Philippians 4:6-7 again slowly, and let it shape how you live today — in your family, your work, and your church community. A prayer: Lord, you give wisdom freely to those who ask. Grant me discernment for the decisions ahead, and help me live not just cleverly but wisely, with you at the centre. Amen.
